Writer / Director
Misha Kleider is an award-winning Vancouver-based writer and director whose work explores human behaviour, social systems, and philosophical questions through documentary and narrative storytelling.
His short documentary The Bouake Hustle, filmed in Côte d’Ivoire, won four awards at the Vancouver Short Film Festival: Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Documentary Short, and Best Editing.
Kleider also wrote and appeared in the feature documentary Streets of Plenty, an immersive examination of homelessness and addiction in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The film received a Leo Award nomination for Best Feature Length Documentary. It was acquired by Rogers and went on to commercial distribution, including Amazon Prime Video, where it continues to be available in the United States.
